People tend to be eight times more likely to be involved in a home invasion attack than someone in a house fire. When intruders enter someone's home forcefully, whether for thrill or to rob and to take someone's family hostage, this is considered to be a home invasion. Do not plan just for a break in or to be robbed. The invaders could have other plans that could be more vicious then peole might htink. Easy scenerios are easy to plan for, but people have to plan for the more difficult to or families will not be safe. How to survive a home invasion?

One way to survive a hoem invasion would be to have a plan. Number one tactic would be to have a code declares "5 Tatical Tips to Survive a Home Invasion" by Jeff Anderson. Developing a code for example like "Escape" would give the signal to the entire family, that it's time to get moving. Keep the code simple not some kind of secret code like "Red Wolf". Keep it straight to the point like "Escape". Secondly Anderson also notes families needs to decide somewhere for a safe-room, a place to group up and feel secure. A safe-room provides somewhere that everyone can meet up at the same time and place. The room should have precise items. " The one thing you must have in this room is a phone"....Another item a perosn would need is a weapon. One more objective would be not to leave the room under any circumstances. "Even if you're pretty sure the home invasion is finished and the intruders have left, do not leave the safe-room." If someone did leave they could be squashed like a bug. Not having a plan for a home invasion would make the family in the home not prepared or organized.

He realized that if people stays calm it helps the circumstance. People need to stay calm in a situation liek this because if someone was nervous they could get irrational. Let's say they make a sudden move and the intruders think something bad will happen and shoot them. "Most robbers are not professionals and are as nervous as you are." Len Penzo reports, "That in bad situation like this, don't try to be a hero, just wait." It could turn for the worst, for you and other victims. "The manager was trying to be a hero, saying he didn't have the combination and the robbers weren't buying it. Just do what is asked so all of it can be all over soon as possible.

However, unless the invaders have other plans than just robbing someone's house. Two victims of being kidnapped: Buck, a dog and Sarah, a 13 year old girl. No one knows what invaders are going to do coming into a home. People can not think its going to go down as simple as planned there is other scenerios. For example, Sarah was coming home from school with her little brother and the invader wa already int he house. He stabbed the little boy and took Sarah. Buck just trusted a faniliar friend of the farm. The man tricked him and Buck thought it was "merely a stroll," sold Buck to pull a sled. Invaders could also have in mind to "Murder" a family, point out McGraw. Another scenerio that could take place would be murder. Mathew Hoffman planned to kill the whole time. "A thief steals, and a muderer kills. Mathew broke in and stayed a hour until the mother and friend got home. He knocked the mother unconscious and her friend sprang at him and he killed both mother andfriend. Then he so happens to turn on the dog and kill it too." The man was not there to steal he was there to kill. Scenerios like this can not apply to have a plan and be compliant sepecially when they are there to kill. In a home invasion invaders could come in wanting to kidnap or be there for the thrill of murdering.
